NBA Live 2008 Review

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Yesterday when I was browsing an Marketing Blog it came across to my mind about the latest NBA Live PC game series. I’m looking forward to NBA Live 2008 because I’m an avid gamer of NBA Live Series. What I’m looking forward to NBA Live 2008 is the recent trade of the big time players like Garnett and Ray Allen. Also I want to see an enhanced version of dunks. I want to see more highlight dunks like tomahawk dunk and wind mail dunk. I would like also to see the rookies like Greg Oden and the Joakim Noah because their the two players that I love watching on the recent NCAA season.

I saw NBA live 2007 isn’t impressive really but I saw another NBA game in PS2 that I like more than NBA live 2007 when my friend asked me to play his new NBA game. Unfortunately it isn’t available in PC version. Hopefully the creator of the game can make the game available in PC. I saw the game available as well in XBOX 360. I’ll take a screen shot of the game when I have the chance to borrow the game from my friend. Till my next post

FIBA America started today

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

USA and Argentina still doing what they’ve started. They cruise to another devastating win today with a win over Mexico and Venezuela, respectively. I saw the results while looking for a Philadelphia medical malpractice attorney that will help me with my case. I think both teams will compete for the FIBA-America Finals. Carlos Delfino and Luis Escola leads Team Argentina from Day 1 and Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant on USA Team. I really want to see the showdown between Argentina and USA. But I don’t think Argentina can win the game because USA Team composed of solid lineup. Argentina is reserving their key players like Manu Ginobli, Andres Nocioni, Fabricio Oberto and other Argentinian players playing in the NBA. They probably will play on Olympics next year. And will win another supremacy in Basketball.

This is the tournament that no doubt USA team will win. But I don’t think they will win the Olympics. Spain and Argentina are still the favorite to win the championship. But we don’t know what lies ahead maybe Italy or Greece can also be a surprised in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. China still need more key players before they can win a title in Olympics. What about Germany? With Dirk Nowitzki doing all the job, they cannot make it to the championship round. And France are also a contender with Tony Parker playing the best basketball of his young career together with Boris Diaw and Mikael Pietrus. France have a very deep lineup as well like Argentina.

USA Basketball Team Looks Promising

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

The USA Senior Men’s Basketball Team cruised to a 112-69 win over Venezuela on their first match on FIBA-America Qualifying Tournament. They looks promising with these devastating win. As expected Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and Dwight Howard led the team. Let’s see on how far they will go. Meanwhile, I’m browsing a website about free credit card processing when I saw a news about Laterell Sprewell. Sprewell wasn’t active in the NBA for 3 years now. He reject an offer 3 years ago by Minnesota about $21 million contract. Sprewell’s Yatch was recently repossessed by New York Bank.

Back to the US Men’s National Basketball Team. Kobe Bryant made some great move during the game versus Venezuela. Not only his offense but also his defense. As always Carmelo Anthony deliver the points for the Team USA, Jason Kidd made lot of great assist, Lebron James made some spectacular dunks and Dwight Howard sealed the rebound and take care of the inside. The team would definitely is a complete lineup right now unlike before. I’m excited to see Team USA compete with Argentina and Brazil which is one of the favorite to go to Olympics.

Dream Team is Dead?

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

After working on a Denver Real Estate company, I’ve decided to watch the film Rush Hour 3. And to my surprised Dream Team was mentioned on the film. They told on the movie that Americans can’t win world/Olympics championship anymore because Dream Team is Dead. Dream Team was the team that won 1992 Olympic in Barcelona. Composed of the best players in the world during that time. Michael Jordan led the dream team to win the championship with an average opponents losing margin of 43.8 points. The team has unblemished record of 6-0 during the elimination round and the closest team that compete with the 1992 USA Men’s National Basketball Team was Croatia which looses by 32 points. Still a big margin for a basketball game.

No doubt that the world respect this team as the best team in the world over the last century. Now there are new breed of players ready to resurrect the glory of USA Men’s Basketball Team. With Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, Lebron James, and Carmelo Anthony leading the way for the US Men’s National Basketball Team. If they can duplicate the success of the 1992 Men’s National Basketball Team they will surely earn the respect of the world. Let’s see on what they can do first in the FIBA America Qualifying match set to start next week August 22.

It’s Miller Time, Again?

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Yes, you heard it right. There are lot of rumors right now that Reggie Miller is making a planning to comeback this year. I was in hotels in Miami relaxing when I read about this news on NBA.com. Reggie has been practicing everyday to condition his self. They said that Reggie will join Kevin Garnett, Rey Allen, Paul Pierce and the rest of the Celtics. Reggie Miller probably thinking of atleast get a championship ring before his career will end.

Reggie Miller will bring a veteran boost off the bench on the powerhouse Boston celtics. Boston will be the favorite to win the Eastern Conference this season. Some teams are already building their roster to compete with highly competitive Eastern Conference. The power is now shifting to the East, I’m very excited now on 2007-2008 NBA season to start.

I think Reggie Miller still can give quality minutes. I hope too see him this NBA season.

Garnett Trade

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

Finally Garnett’s wish to be traded has been granted. He landed to Boston Celtics with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. I heard this news on NBATV while browsing http://www.gibbsny.edu/career.asp. Garnett finally had a chance to be on a competitive team. In the last 2-3 years after their championship run, Minnesota wasn’t the same team that compete in the NBA Western Conference Finals. Garnett wanted this trade badly because his former team, Minnesota Timberwolves we’re not the same team that can compete with championship caliber like San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Maverics.

Lets go back to Boston Celtics. Boston gave up their rising star Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair, and other key players like Theo Ratliff and Ryan Gomes plus the return of Minnesota’s conditional 1st round pick. Now Boston have 3 key players and 2 steady players like Tony Allen and Kendrick Perkins and a promising rookie Glen Davis. But still I think this lineup cannot compete with top Eastern Conference teams. They need more bench players that could relieve their center Michael Olowakandi. Although Olawakandi is a free agent this year. I think they can let go of Michael Olowakandi because of his physical condition. If Glen Davis can mix with the team early he can help Boston to atleast win a division championship. The real question to this Boston team is could they remain healthy? If yes, they surely compete on Eastern Conference contender Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and Detroit Pistons.
