Shaq Traded To Phonenix Suns

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Yesterday while looking for nursing home website, because my aunt ask me to look for nursing home. And good thing that I’ve found bettercaring.com which provides information if you’re looking for care or nursing homes. Suddenly my RSS readers pop up and on the headline of the news, Shaq was being traded to Phoenix Suns who gave up Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks in exchange for Shaquille Oneal. Shaquille Oneal has been one of the most dominating center in the history of the NBA. He’s now ready to conquer western conference and hopefully another title.

With these trade, Shaq will be tested on how he can carry his teammate to another NBA title. Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire is very excited with these development because they don’t have a center like Shaq that can intimidate opponents shot in the paint. He will be the focal point of the defense of the Phoenix Suns. I hope Shaq will be healthy again so that he can give us another show time experience.

NBA All Star Game 2008 Lineup

Monday, February 4th, 2008

NBA All Star Game lineup is now ready and set to start on February 16. This year will feature new and old All Star caliber player. They just announced the reserves when I was browsing Dyson spares website. I’m looking forward for this game next 2 weeks. This year All Star game will features First-time all star players like Caron Butler, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, David West, and Joe Johnson.

West will try to bounce back from their loss last year. Agent Zero won’t be on the lineup and I’m sure he wants to be there but his injury prevented him from joining this luxurious event for him. He wanted  to win the NBA all star MVP ever since. And now he won’t be there to fulfill his dream. Don’t worry Agent Zero your two teammate will be there to back you up, Antwan Jamison and Caron Butler. I want to see Steve Nash to win his first NBA all star. Hopefully before he will retire 3-4 years from now he could win this prestige award because he’s one of the best NBA point guard that ever played the game. Stay tuned for more updates on NBA all star.

NBA Fantasy League

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

I recently joined NBA fantasy league and I’m a certified NBA fantasy league addict now. I can’t help looking at my laptops
every minute of the day to see the results of the fantasy games. Currently I’m ranking on the 4th spot on my league. If you want to join me on my league you can sign up on League 78356. Not sure if you can really join our league because I’m new to this game. Right now I do have Kobe Bryant on my lineup, and Gerald Wallace is one of the best player on my lineup.

Currently Josh Smith is one of the key fantasy players that I want to get. I would trade Gerald Wallace for him because he is has the potential to score atleast 40 fantasy points every game. He can block shots and steal the ball to his opponent. But Kobe Bryant is my ace fantasy player because he produces 40+ fantasy points every game. I’ll update you on this blog on what’s happening to NBA fantasy league as well.

Portland Trailblazers Still Hot

Friday, January 11th, 2008

Oh yeah I love underdogs. Another Portland Trailblazers blog post. I just want to admire how they turn this team from not so good team to a very competitive team. Aside from Boston dominating the league, Portland dramatic run is one of the story of this year NBA Season 2007-2008. Yesterday before I will went to http://www.iadtsacramento.com/ because I want to inquire regarding on how to enroll to their institution, I saw that their 12 game winning streak was snapped by the Utah Jazz but after that they bounced back for another 4 game winning streak. They really surprised me this season. So for Portland Trailblazers, my respect is now on your team.

I would like to credit this win to the whole team but most especially to Brandon Roy who lead this team to the top of their division. It’s Portland first time to be on top of the division since 2001, where Scottie Pippen, Rasheed Wallace and other NBA superstar that was on Portland’s roster. I don’t know on how long they will continue playing this way but I’m very positive that they will make it to this years playoff. It’s too early to say, but I can sense that their one of the tough team in the NBA right now.

Orlando Magic On The Rise

Monday, November 26th, 2007

Hi, I’m back again from blogging. In the past few days I was busy on my new school, http://www.gibbsmelville.edu/. And now I have time to blog again about the latest happenings and news in the NBA. No doubt that Orlando Magic is now one of the dominated team in the league right now. They have 13 wins with only 3 loss which is by far their one of the best start of the season. Although they need to prove more on their clutch shooting and late game defense. With coach Stan Van Gundy guiding them at the sideline there is a big chance that they will face Boston Celtics at the NBA Eastern Conference Championship.

What makes the Orlando Magic became this successful this season? First I would like to credit Stan Van Gundy’s leadership. I really believe that it’s him that really get the whole team to be as one. Second, Dwight Howard inside presence. Dwight Howard is averaging 23.4ppg, 14.5 rebounds per game, and 2.5 blocks per game. Who else helps the Magic this season? I’ll vote for Hedo Turkoglu. I saw him made lot of clutch basket in their past game that help them win. The most outstanding game he played when they handle Boston’s first loss with his clutch shooting.

Orlando Magic is on the rise. I’ll keep an eye on this team and I think they can even reached the NBA Finals.

Boston Celtics First Loss

Monday, November 19th, 2007

I was watching the MLB PLayoffs last year when I’ve decided to change the channel. And good thing that I change the channel because I did have the chance to watch another classic ball game, Orlando Magic vs Boston Celtics. After an impressive 8-0 win-loss record, Boston finally taste their first defeats in the hands of Orlando Magic. Orlando Magic leads the somewhere in the game by 20 points. But this does not stay long because Boston Celtics trio (Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett) take over the game and cut the lead into 2. But Hedo Turkoglu didn’t allow Boston to come closer than that. He hit 2 highlight-reel 3 point shot. With few seconds left, Boston had the chance to tie the game or win. But they didn’t convert and they taste their first loss.

Orlando is showing some poised since the start of the league.  And right now they have 9-2 win-loss record and they’re now the Southeast Division leader. It’s a good start for Orlando Magic. I think to be able to atleast reached the NBA Finals they have to show some good defense. They have all the offensive weapons that a championship caliber team should have. In order to win a championship in the NBA, you should win through your defense. This is what past champions made of.

Around the league

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

First I would like to give a quick heads up for my readers that my traffic is increasing and I’m on top 5 on MSN live search for the keywords “NBA Blog”. And second, I have a cold now and I need some Vaporizers to help me in my breathing to be able to continue with my work today. Too much for that, I will give a quick recap on what happen to the league. Boston Celtics still leads the league with 6-0 win loss record. San Antonio hanging tough in 2nd place with a 6-1 win loss record. But I don’t think it will stay that long because San Antonio will face Dallas Mavericks today as they square off in Texas match-up.

Surprisingly, New Orleans Hornets won 7 out of 9 games. And they’re now threatening to become a playoff contender this season. But in order to obtain this they will have to stay healthy, especially Peja Stojacovic and Tyson Chandler. Because this two key players of New Orleans Hornets are prone of injury based on their career history over the last 5 years. We have to look out for this. Utah Jazz starts hot and pick up what they left off last NBA Playoffs. Carlos Boozer leads the pack and Deron Williams provides some clutch shooting. Andrei Kirilenko always there to defend and block shots, Mehmet Okur provides inside defense, and they have a new guy that they can rely on the shooting guard spot, Brewer.

The league is now more balanced and you cannot predict on who will win this years NBA ring. Let’s see in few months if the trend will still continue, if New Orleans can make it to the playoffs, and Utah, San Antonio, and Dallas will be the power in the west.

NBA Tip-Off

Monday, November 12th, 2007

NBA Season 2007-2008 has started and there’s nothing usual with the outcome of the games played. Teams with high profile roster wins. Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs tops the west and Boston Celtics (with the big three on it’s lineup Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett) and Detroit Pistons tops the east. Boston is proving to everybody that they’re now the new powerhouse in the west not just in papers but also in games. Houston Rockets, is off to another good start. But how long they will stay this hot. Tracy McGrady is playing just like the old days when he single-handedly carried his team on his back and Yao Ming is still keep on improving on his offensive plays. I’ll be out of the country to visit Moscow, and I will be missing live NBA games. But good thing that I have subscribed to a Internet TV website to watch NBA games.

Yao Ming is averaging 24.0 ppg and 10.40 games while Tracy Mcgrady is averaging 27.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg, and 5.7apg and Houston Rockets current win-loss record is 6-1. They managed to beat their rival in Texas, San Antonio Spurs but their  only lost this season is came from Dallas Maverics. In Eastern Conference, Boston is dominating the league by winning 5 games without a loss. Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce the new big three is now threatening to be the new Eastern Conference champion atleast. Detroit Pistons is also impressive this season. Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and Chauncey Billups is playing really well and back on their championship caliber shape.

Grant Hill headed to the Suns

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

While again browsing the internet researching about the History of Baseball, Grant Hill recently has signed a contract to Phoenix Suns and will be ready to play this year NBA Season. Grant Hill is absolutely a questionable player this year. But we know what he can do if he’s healthy. According to news Grant was courted by 10 other teams but he chooses to sign with Phoenix Suns because he said that it was the closest team that can bring him championship ring. But Grant Hill might be wrong because one of the key players of the Phoenix Suns, Shawn Marion has expressed his interest to be traded. But this might be a window of opportunity for Grant Hill to take the place of Phoenix small forward.

Honestly, I’m a big fan of Grant Hill 8-10 years ago but this changed when he returned from his injury. Slowly but surely Grant Hill is coming back to his previous shape and game. I’m wishing him the best this season and hopefully he could throw back again his in-your-face slam dunk and leg twisting cross over move. I wish I could turn back the time to see again the mind blowing moves of Grant Hill. Hopefully he could show off the real Grant Hill in Phoenix. With Steve Nash on his side, this is not possible.

Europe vs NBA

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

While trying to research honda motorcycles in the internet, I’ve realized an interesting situation right now regarding Europe Basketball and NBA. They said that sooner or later European basketball will be famous and will dethrone NBA because of salary issue. Some European players are thinking twice now of playing in the NBA. Because European players don’t get good offers in the NBA and instead European teams offers much higher salaries and some other freebies like cars and accommodation.

Mikael Pietrus, Andres Verejao and Sasha Pavlovic are having problems now with their current team on the renewal of their contract. And according to reliable reports they have offers in European team. There are lot of rumors that are spreading now in the NBA that European team wants to pirate few solid players in the NBA. I’ll update this blog regarding the development on these rumors.
